Welcome

Welcome to the 11th Annual Films of Remembrance

Given the continued global coronavirus pandemic, this year’s event may look and feel a bit different than our past live events in San Francisco and San Jose Japantowns.

But out of adversity arises new opportunities.

The 11th annual Films of Remembrance, a showcase of films commemorating the wartime forced removal and incarceration of Japanese Americans in American concentration camps during World War II, will be held on Saturday, Feb. 26 and Sunday, Feb. 27, 2022, featuring 11 films available as online rentals. Over two days, you can view both the films and live post-film discussions. For those who need more time, the films — and post-film discussions — will be accessible through March 13, 2022.

We thank all of our filmmakers for helping to keep our history alive through their dedicated work.

We hope that you enjoy this year’s offering of virtual programming.
